Second Semester Schedules

Welcome to second semester! This is a reminder to St. Charles East High School students to print their second semester schedules off of Home Access Center (HAC) prior to second semester and bring that copy with them on the first day of the second semester, Monday, January 23.

Counselors will see students about second semester courses (1) if there is an error in the student’s schedule,and/or (2) if the student has failed a class or classes and requires a change in his/her schedule as a result.

Course Selection for 2012-2013

Course selection for the 2012–2013 school year opens in the Student Portal on the Home Access Center (HAC) on Monday, January 23.   ‘Initial selection’ will remain open until Monday, February 6.

In preparation for initial course selection:

Students may refer to the Course Offering Book available on-line

and

Students’ current teachers in some core course areas will make recommendations for next year’s course work. Those (limited) recommendations will be reflected in the student portal.

Finally, course selection for the 2012-13 school year will be discussed in classes on Monday, January 23.

In February, students will be scheduled for individual meetings with the counselors.  The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss and review the course selections entered by the student.  During that meeting, counselor and student can change/update the course requests entered during the ‘initial selection’ period.
